On July 17th, the Huntington Community Forest will be officially dedicated! The event will be at the Brewster-Pierce Memorial School pavilion starting at 2:00. Visiting and local dignitaries will be on hand, there will be cake from Krin’s Bakery as well as equally decadent but gluten-free macaroons, Chittenden County Forester Ethan Tapper will lead a walk through the Forest, BPMS students will show off their outdoor classrooms, and we’ll hear live music!! Also, the winning t-shirt logo will be revealed and raffle tickets for some terrific prizes will be for sale (proceeds to benefit the Community Forest)!
This will be a zero-waste event so please bring your own cup as well as your own chair if you’d like one. This is an outdoor event rain or shine so keep an eye on the forecast to know if you should bring your own umbrella.
More details to come!
