A couple of important reminders:
Parking: Brewster Pierce reminds us that parking and Forest access is NOT permitted at the school while school is in session: Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm. During these times, parking is available at the rec field behind the Fire Station. You can enter the Forest via the meadow to the south of the school or up alongside Trapp Road. The Community Forest Stewardship Committee is exploring additional parking options and more information will be provided as we figure that out.
Dogs: Under the interim management plan, dogs are allowed in the Community Forest, in compliance with the Huntington Animal Control Ordinance. This means, your dog must be under your personal control at all times, leashes are preferred, and pick up all waste. There have been complaints of dog waste being left on School property- this is not acceptable- please be respectful so that we can continue to consider allowing dogs in the Community Forest.
